The Investigator Electrophoresis system
Proteomic research begins with two-dimensional
(2-D) electrophoresis. Genomic Solutions' Investigator
2-D Electrophoresis System includes instrumentation
and consumables to fit all 2-D applications.
The Investigator 2-D Electrophoresis System is
a complete package, so you do not waste valuable
research time piecing together a one-of-a-kind
system. It includes:
- Space-saving design combined with flexibility
and convenience
- Power supply capable of running two 2-D tanks
or one 1-D and one 2-D tank simultaneously
- Adjustable chiller with integrated stirring
function
- 1-D casting and running systems
- pHaser IPG running system
- 2-D
casting and running systems
The system's large format 22 x 22-cm gels allow
excellent resolving power.
The tube gel apparatus accommodates up to 15
analytical tube gels or up to eight preparative
tube gels. The IPG pHaser runs ten 7, 11, or
18 cm IPG strips.
The Peltier-based chiller can be used for the
first dimension IPG strips and second dimension
running tank. Temperature variations anywhere
in the 2-D tank are less than 0.5° C when
stirring function is used.
The dedicated power supply is specifically designed
for high performance 2-D electrophoresis. The
focusing algorithm provides continuous volt-hour
integration; shifts of voltage and current occur
at pre-programmed intervals optimized for large
format 2-D techniques.
