re-cast SDS-PAGE Molecular Weight Marker, 1mm ID x 1cm

These pre-cast markers were developed to allow tracking of molecular weights on 2-D gels. The pre-cast mini-tube gels contain approximately 1.2 micrograms of total protein for a final concentration of 0.1 micrograms per band. Following electrophoresis, the bands can be visualized with the Investigator Silver Stain Kits. These markers are not present in high enough concentration to be detected with Coomassie Blue Stain. The protein molecular weight standards are provided as a 1mm diameter tube gels, approximately 1cm long. To apply the markers to a 2-D gel, simply grasp a mini-tube gel with forceps and place at one edge of the 2-D gel, next to the 1-D gel.

Broad Range Molecular Weight Standard
The broad-range standards include 11 proteins from 6,500 to 205,000 Daltons. The mixtures are designed to give sharp, well-separated bands used to determine the molecular weight of proteins run in neighboring lanes of the same gel. The broad-range standards are appropriate for all homogenous polyacrylamide gels or gradient gels. Following electrophoresis, the bands can be visualized with Colloidal Coomassie Blue Stain, SYPRO Ruby Protein stain or a the Silver Stain Kit.
